Privacy policy

This policy explains what information 1430 Consulting LLC, doing business as Conroe AI (“Conroe AI”, “we”, “us”), a Texas limited liability company, collects through the website conroe.ai, including the DojoLens pages under conroe.ai/apps/, and what we do with it.

It covers the website, its contact form and the DojoLens waitlist only. The DojoLens app will have its own privacy policy, at conroe.ai/apps/dojolens/privacy.

The short version

• If you join a waitlist, we keep your email address and which list you joined, and email you to confirm it and, later, to tell you the product has launched.
• If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message by email and use them only to reply. The site itself keeps no copy.
• The contact form uses a spam check from Cloudflare, called Turnstile, which loads only once you start filling in the form.
• If you email or call us, we receive what you send and use it to reply.
• We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies.
• Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard request logs to run and protect the site.
• The site sets no cookies. It remembers your light or dark theme choice in your own browser, and that choice never leaves your device.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

What we collect and why

The waitlist

The DojoLens pages let you leave your email address to hear when DojoLens launches. When you sign up, we store:

• your email address;
• which list you joined (for individuals, or for schools);
• when you signed up, and when you confirmed.

We then send one email asking you to confirm the address. Until you confirm, we send you nothing else; if you sign up again more than a day later without having confirmed, we send a fresh confirmation email in place of the first. Once you confirm, we use the address only to tell you when DojoLens opens to you, and for nothing else.

To keep the form free of spam and abuse, our server uses your IP address to limit how many sign-ups come from one place in a short time. We never store your IP address: the limit counts sign-ups under a scrambled code made from your IP address and the current hour, which can’t be turned back into the address, isn’t linked to your sign-up, and is deleted within a day.

The list is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and the confirmation and launch emails are sent through Cloudflare’s email service.

You can leave the list at any time by using the link in any email we send, or by writing to [email protected].

The contact form

The contact form on our home page asks for your name, your email address, your message and, if you choose, what it is about. When you send it, our server checks the fields and emails them to our business inbox, with your address as the one to reply to. The site does not store your message, your name or your address: once the email is sent, nothing of it remains on the site. We use what you send only to answer you and to follow up on what you asked about.

To keep the form free of spam, it uses Cloudflare Turnstile. The check loads from Cloudflare (challenges.cloudflare.com) only once you start filling in the form, so visitors who don’t use the form never load it. To tell people from bots, it reads signals from your browser and device, such as your IP address, your browser’s user agent and technical details of the connection, and gives the form a one-time token. Our server sends only that token to Cloudflare to check it: not your message, your name or your address. We use Turnstile without its clearance cookie. Cloudflare processes these signals for us to run the check and also uses them, as its own controller, to improve its bot detection; see the Turnstile privacy addendum.

Email and phone

If you write to [email protected], call or text (737) 615-9355, or write to our mailing address, we receive your contact details and whatever you send us. We use it only to answer you and to follow up on what you asked about. Mail sent to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare to our business inbox. Please don’t send sensitive information by email.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It works without cookies or other storage in your browser and does not follow you across other websites. It records information about each page view, such as the page address, the referring site, your browser and operating system, and your approximate country, and shows it to us only as totals.

Hosting and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and details of each request (such as the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse. If the waitlist form or the contact form runs into an error, our server may record a short technical note about the failure; that note never includes your name, email address, message or IP address.

Your theme choice

The site has a light and dark theme. If you pick one with the toggle, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage so the next page opens the same way. This is stored only on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it with your browser’s site data.

Fonts

The site’s fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page makes no request to any font service.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies, so it shows no cookie banner. The contact form’s spam check runs in a frame served by Cloudflare once you start filling in the form, and we use it without its clearance cookie.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the site and answer you:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores the waitlist, sends our emails (including contact form messages to our inbox), forwards mail sent to [email protected], runs the contact form’s spam check and provides the analytics, under the Cloudflare privacy policy.
• Our email provider, which stores the messages we receive.
• Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
• A successor business, if Conroe AI or 1430 Consulting LLC is ever merged or sold, under the same protections described here.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

• Waitlist sign-ups you never confirm are deleted after 30 days.
• Confirmed waitlist addresses are kept until we have sent the launch email for that list and for 12 months after, in case we open in stages, or until you leave the list, whichever is first.
• Contact form messages are not kept on the site at all. They arrive as email in our inbox and are kept there like any other email, as below.
• Emails and messages are kept as long as we need them to answer you, to carry out and document any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
• Analytics are kept as aggregate totals. Cloudflare keeps its logs for the periods set out in its own policies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We will answer within 45 days. We may need to confirm that the request is really from you first, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word “Appeal”. We will reply to the appeal within 60 days and explain what we decided and why. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights; we will answer any reasonable request either way.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, and the waitlist and contact forms are checked on the server before anything is stored or sent. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Children

This site is meant for adults, and the waitlist is for adults only. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and its effective date above. If a change affects how we use waitlist addresses, we will email confirmed subscribers before it takes effect.
