Coming soon · pickleball score keeper
Say “point.” Hear the score.
Call It Pickle keeps score for pickleball doubles and singles, rally scoring included. Say “point” or “side out”, or tap, and it calls the score back out loud, shows who serves from which side, and lets you say “replay” to see the last rally again. It runs on your phone: no account, no ads, no server.

How voice scoring works
Two words cover every rally.
Every rally ends one of two ways for the serving side: it won, or it lost. Call It Pickle works out the rest from the rules you picked.
“Point” or “side out”
Say “point” when the serving side wins the rally and “side out” when it loses, or tap the big buttons. A few more words help between rallies:
- “undo” takes back the last rally
- “score” repeats the call
- “replay” shows the last rally
The score, called back
After each rally the phone says the score the way players call it, such as “one, zero, two”, so everyone on the court hears the same numbers.
Who serves, from where
The scoreboard shows the server, server 1 or 2, which side they serve from and who receives. It tracks ends, time-outs and game point, and you can correct a score with a tap.
Every format
Doubles, singles and rally scoring.
Traditional doubles
Side-out scoring: only the serving side scores, with two servers per side and a three-number call.
Singles
One server, who serves from the right on an even score and from the left on an odd one, and a two-number call.
Rally scoring
Every rally scores, doubles or singles, with one server per side out and a two-number call.
Games to 11, 15, 21 or any target; win by 2 or by 1; best of 1, 3 or 5. End changes and time-outs follow the rules too.
Rally scoring in 2026
No more freeze at game point.
- Every rally scores for whoever wins it. 14.A.2
- Two numbers make the call: the serving side’s score, then the receiving side’s. 14.A.3
- One server per side out in doubles: after a side out, the player on the right for the team’s score serves. 14.A.4, 14.A.5
- The freeze is gone. In 2025 a rally-scored game froze at game point, so it could only be won on serve. The 2026 rulebook removed that; some events still play with it, so Call It Pickle keeps it as a setting.
Rule numbers refer to the 2026 USA Pickleball Official Rulebook. Rally scoring is a provisional rule there (14.A).
Instant replay
Placing your phone for replay.
The camera keeps a rolling replay of the last rally in the phone’s memory. Say “replay” to watch it again; it is gone unless you choose to save it.
Behind a baseline
Mount the phone high on the fence or on a tall tripod behind a baseline, looking down the court, with all four corners in view.
For a line in question
To check a line, put the phone in line with it, at the corner of the baseline or sideline. That angle shows the space between ball and line better than an end view.
Frame it with players on
Check the picture with everyone in position: a near player can block the bounce. And ask before filming other people on public courts.
Questions
Pickleball scoring, answered.
How do I keep score in pickleball doubles?
In traditional doubles only the serving side scores (rule 4.A). The score is called as three numbers: the serving team’s score, the receiving team’s score, then the server number, 1 or 2 (6.B.2). A game opens at “zero-zero-two” because the team that serves first gets only one server, who counts as server 2 (5.B, 6.B.2). Most games are to 11, win by 2.
Who serves next in pickleball?
Server 1 keeps serving, switching sides after each point, until their team loses a rally. Then server 2 serves from wherever they are standing, and when server 2 loses a rally it is a side out (5.B.2, 5.B.5, 5.B.6). Each team’s starting server is on the right when the team’s score is even, including 0, and on the left when it is odd (5.B.3).
When do you switch ends in pickleball?
In a one-game match or a deciding game, teams change ends when the first team reaches 6 in a game to 11, 8 in a game to 15, or 11 in a game to 21, and the same server carries on (21.B.1 to 21.B.4). Between games, teams change ends and the first serve passes to the other side (21.F.2).
What changed in pickleball rally scoring in 2026?
In 2025, rally scoring froze at game point, so a game could only be won on serve. The 2026 rulebook removed the freeze: every rally now scores for whoever wins it (14.A.2). Some events still play with the freeze, so Call It Pickle keeps it as a setting.
Can the replay make line calls?
No. Players call the lines on their own end, and a ball that can’t clearly be called out is in (8.A, 8.D). The replay is a courtesy for rec play when both sides agree to look. Call It Pickle never calls a ball in or out.
Does Call It Pickle need an account?
No. There is no account, no server and no ads. Matches and player names stay on your phone, and voice is recognized on the phone and never recorded.

Nothing to sign up for but the score.
